Responsibly. Civility. Integrity.
The Office of Student Conduct & Ethical Development (SCED) supports the development of character and ethics by providing educational programming and resources to members of the Catholic University community. These proactive efforts are balanced by SCED's management of the University's student conduct system. By way of this system, SCED staff coordinates with professionals in the Office of Residence Life and the Office of the Dean of Students to provide intentional interactions for students with the aim of challenging inappropriate conduct and behavior. Guided by the Code of Student Conduct ("Code") and other University policies and procedures, SCED provides a forum for a fair and balanced response to allegations of inappropriate behavior. Our office provides leadership in coordinating the resolution of these matters and maintains records documenting these incidents. Please note that matters involving alleged academic integrity violations (i.e. - plagiarism, cheating, fabrication, etc.) are handled by officials in Catholic University's academic schools, and coordinated through the Office of the Provost. For more information, please review the University's academic dishonesty policy.
